Sweet and sentimental!
It’s particularly special to find a brooch with such clearly legible inscriptions on the reverse! Crafted in a rich 18 carat gold, this brooch features an elongated quatrefoil shape, with pansies chased on each axis. Swirling gold tendrils curl around windows of black enamel, framing a central diamond shape that holds a forget-me-not.
Though this jewel was made in the early 1840’s, it embodies a timeless modernity, which in our opinion is a true mark of an excellent decorative art.
A wonderful addition to any antique jewelry collection!
